This week we are featuring the fabulous Wood Lake. Only a short drive from the beautiful and historic town of Bracebridge, Wood Lake is a great spot to have your vacation home. The lake is tucked away so it will give you the feeling of being somewhere remote but it is right off of highway 118 East for easy commuting.

Summer is about finding the perfect balance of being active, enjoying the outdoors and having time to relax. There are a variety of activities to try out when you are at the lake. Fox Point Beach and Wood Lake Beach are both located on the south end of the lake and offer a great place to go swimming for you and the family.  "Drink Muskoka.....Not Just the Lake Water...."

You may have heard of the Triple Play in baseball or the Hat Trick in hockey. We have our own triple play in Muskoka - that would be some of the best craft brewers, coffee roasters, and a winery.

Nothing beats sipping a fresh cup of coffee, early in the morning, while sitting on your dock. Local roasters include Muskoka Roasting Coffee Company, Diesel House Coffee Roasters, Inspire Coffee Roasting Company, and Camp Muskoka Coffeehouse.

Later in the day on the dock, you can change gears and switch to a nice cold one, and there is a wide selection of Muskoka brews. Local brewers include Muskoka Brewery, Lake of Bays Brewing Company, Sawdust City Brewing Company, and Clear Lake Brewing Company. And if…

This week we are featuring the fabulous Dickie Lake. It has a great location with easy access to Baysville, Huntsville and Bracebridge. This lake is primarily spring fed and drains into the South Muskoka River. Its shallow bays provide an excellent habitat for fish such as northern pike, largemouth bass, and brook trout.

Dickie Lake is perfect if you are looking for some peace and quiet while you are at the cottage. The lake only allows smaller boats and canoes on the water. You won’t need to worry about all the extra noise that comes from having a lot of bigger boats passing by. So grab a drink and head down to the water's edge where you can watch the sunset and sink into the amazing sights and sounds of the lake.

Close by in the…

If you are in the market for a cottage in Muskoka, Muldrew Lake is a great choice. Conveniently located 15 minutes from Gravenhurst, Muldrew Lake offers a fantastic cottage experience with nearby access to a huge selection of amenities. The lake was named after Dr. William Hawthone Muldrew who was the first principal of the Gravenhurst High School and the second person to have a cottage on Muldrew.

The lake is divided into three sections: South Muldrew Lake, Middle Muldrew Lake and North Muldrew Lake, however it is still a single waterbody that can be travelled from one end to the other. There is a boat launch on Indian Landing Road near the North end of the lake.

The long shoreline offers spectacular views and plenty of room to tour…

Golf

"So you are thinking about Moving to Muskoka......and you like Golf....Great Choice!"

For you golfers out there, the RBC Canadian Open just finished last week and from what I have read was a complete success (even mother nature co-operated). Brooke Henderson’s Canadian record ninth LPGA Tour victory has turned her into the Queen of Canadian golf. Royal LePage Lakes of Muskoka Realty has this year's golf tournament scheduled for June 18, 2019. We are playing at Muskoka Bay Club.

There seems to be more articles in the media these days covering "Exurbs", people moving from the city, skipping the suburbs, and moving to an area surrounded by a secondary municipality. We are seeing more first time home-buyers and soon to be retired people moving to…
