I was looking at the cherry tomato plant I am attempting to grow, and unfortunately, it looks like I won't be getting many tomatoes from it. However, what is very plentiful in Muskoka, at this time of the year, is the number of Farmers' Markets, offering local foods, homemade goods, local art and other interesting items. This week we are featuring the fabulous Wood Lake. Only a short drive from the beautiful and historic town of Bracebridge, Wood Lake is a great spot to have your vacation home. The lake is tucked away so it will give you the feeling of being somewhere remote but it is right off of highway 118 East for easy commuting.

Welcome to Mary Lake, a family friendly summer wonderland! Only a 5 minute drive from Port Sydney and 15 minutes from Huntsville this lake has something for everyone. The Lake is part of  a man-made waterway that connects Fairy Lake, Lake Vernon, Peninsula Lake and Mary Lake. Water travels through these lakes and drains into the North Muskoka River.

Did the Canada Day long weekend leave you feeling like you need a cottage of your own? Well  we have the perfect place for you, Horn Lake in Magnetawan. It is a short 15 minute drive from Burk’s Falls or Sundridge. There are actually two Horn Lakes in the region, the other being located in Seguin.  

Horn Lake Magnetawan has a large variety of fish species including Lake trout, Lake Whitefish, Burbot, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike so it makes a fantastic spot to pull out your fishing gear and spend a day on the water.
